@trasselvardias honestly the best letter written was by a female japanese mangaka telling the UN to fuck off and stay out of trying to censor female artists because of "graphic sexual content" when most of those women worked their asses off to even get their art out there

The more you understand this world, the more you destroy yourself.
That’s why fools are happy, and intelligent people live in loneliness.
The more you understand the world, the more illusions fall away.
You begin to see patterns, motives, and contradictions that once went unnoticed.
With understanding comes disillusionment.
Expectations shrink.
Trust becomes cautious.
Innocence fades.
Fools appear happy not because they live better lives, but because they carry fewer questions.
They are spared the weight of constant reflection.
Intelligence often leads to loneliness.
Not from arrogance, but from distance.
It becomes harder to relate when you see beneath the surface while others remain comfortable on it.
Yet this awareness is not a curse.
It is a responsibility.
Wisdom hurts before it heals.
Clarity isolates before it frees.
Learn the world.
But do not forget to protect yourself from it.

same when i was a musician, most money we got was from selling t shirts or vinyl/CDs at live shows (which we almost never got paid for). from streaming like spotify or whatever we made almost nothing even with 1000s of views. most fans would download it and wed have it free on bandcamp too not just P2P. id rather someone dl the album and love it for the rest of their life and maybe see us live one day, or you know, just share that moment with them that we could touch eachothers hearts across the barrier of bullshit that is the modern world

At first glance, it is merely a weathered block of granite, speckled with the salt-and-pepper grit of an ancient Earth. But follow the deep, sweeping curves carved into its face, and you feel the pulse of a different story. This is not the work of nature’s erosion alone; it is a dialogue between stone and soul.
Centuries ago, in the rugged highlands where these stones were birthed, masons believed that granite held the memories of the mountains. This sculpture, with its two concave "eyes" meeting at a narrow bridge, evokes the haunting gaze of a Neolithic guardian. It reflects the human obsession with permanence—the desperate need to leave a mark that outlasts our fleeting breath.
To touch its cool, textured surface is to connect with the countless hands that once hauled such weight to build monuments and hearths. There is a profound, melancholic beauty in its stillness; it feels like a silent witness to the rise and fall of civilizations. It stands as a reminder that while our lives are brief, the emotions we carve into the world—love, grief, and awe—remain as solid as stone.

@trasselvardias "The following also was nobly spoken by someone or other, for it is doubtful who the author was; they asked him what was the object of all this study applied to an art that would reach but very few. He replied: “I am content with few, content with one, content with none at all.”
