It was Warner Bros. Discovery that made the unprecedented decision to shelve the completed $90 million Batgirl movie as a tax write-off in August 2022. Both directors expressed extreme frustration that they couldn't even keep the rare scenes they had shot featuring Michael Keaton as Batman, which were permanently lost to them.

Today's @nytimes "On Language" column treats the antisemitic slur "goyslop" as a fun linguistic curiosity rather than what it is: a term rooted in white supremacist conspiracy theories. Normalizing this kind of language is dangerous. "Goyslop" is not just edgy slang. It combines "goy," the Hebrew word that colloquially refers to non-Jews, with "slop" to promote a conspiracy theory that Jewish people deliberately poison non-Jews with cheap food to keep them docile. It was coined and spread by antisemites and white supremacists. No amount of teenage adoption changes that origin. Such terms spread negative stereotypes and conspiracy theories. According to FF7 Remake fans, this is what "95% the same" looks like:
"Its 95% the same as classic ff7" - Somebody who is lying to their audience.
This doesn't add up at all. The dead suspect was handcuffed! Why handcuff someone who is dead? The lone "incel" shooter was so skilled, he killed one cop and wounded another, before being killed. Yet he never attacked other civilians in the area. The video showed him walking right past an older man. The shooter never tried to point his weapon at the man, or use him as a hostage.

ATF is proposing to clarify rules for importing firearm barrels and frames/receivers with dual sporting and non-sporting use.
