I am so happy and honoured to receive this award - thanks to @ANZSCDB which is a wonderful society, thanks @ARMI_Labs for the environment, and a big thanks to all the wonderful @McGlinnLab members past and present!

Six projects, led by @ashley_farlow @hardiprpatel @ArkellLab @EduEyras @DehorterLab & @lizzyg100,were awarded over $8M via @NHMRC Ideas Grant. 🎉 The funding will boost progress in key areas of health research, from Indigenous health to autism treatments: bit.ly/IdeasGrant

#IMGC2022 has flown by! One day left, starting with Tech & Resources and Mary Lyon Lecture (Julie Mathieu) in the morning, Community discussion on Rigor & Reproducibility after lunch, then we wrap up with Human Disease Models II and head to Grouse Mountain for the banquet!

Day 2 of #IMGC2022 in Vancouver, BC, the sun is finally out but great science is inside! Development, Epigenetics & Stem Cells this morning, followed by a productive Business Meeting. Looking forward to Kent Hunter's talk & first Human Disease Models session this afternoon.

Day 1 of #IMGC2022 yesterday was kicked off by a fantastic Evolution, Gene Drive and Conservation Genetics session, talks by Royden Saah, Matthew Berns (Lorraine Flaherty Award winner from Trainee Symposium), Luke Gierus, Kevin Oh and Rebekah Tillotson. Hybrid format good so far!

Other great sessions on Day 1 of #IMGC2022 were Translational & Systems Genetics and Comparative Genomics & Computational Methods, plus a wonderful Verne Chapman Lecture by Monica Justice!

First talk of the day! Early in development, lots has to go right. Kyle from @ArkellLab works on key genetic pathways that are affected when things go wrong, and how to detect slight alterations in the genome that lead to disease. Great talk! #JCSMRStuCon @JCSMR #wearejcsmr

IMGC35 has been postponed to July 17-20, 2022 so more people can attend in person. The venue will still be at the beautiful Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, BC. The meeting will hybrid so all who wish should be able to participate. More details soon!
