It's actually extremely simple to demonstrate. Grab a baseball. Drop it from 2m high. It takes 0.64s to reach the floor. That's t= √2d/g. Now try throwing the baseball from the same height, but moving forward and angled a bit upwards. It'll take a longer time to fall down and it'll be displaced a certain distance based on how fast you throw it. Now, multiply that a thousand fold. The ball is moving sideways and it's trying to fall down, but it's moving so fast that the Earth curves beneath it. Yet it can't leave the Earth's gravitational influence, so it just keeps going until eventually gravity wins and it fallas back down to the surface. But imagine the ball has some kind of propulsion system that keeps it at a given altitude above the Earth's surface, while alsogiving ocasional boosts to it's speed. At that point, the ball is constantly falling, Earth's gravity is trying to pull it down. But it's too fast, so it just stays going around the Earth. That ball has achieved orbital velocity and is now in orbit around the Earth. The same principal is used in orbital mechanics for spacecraft, satelites and so on

So the issue remains. If the nuclear program was "obliterated" last year, and by the US and, for whatever reason, Israel's own admissions it would've taken "many years" for Iran to even have the ability to develop nuclear weapons, why are they striking it right now? Like I said, terrorists can go fuck themselves. But there's no amount of gaslighting that'll make me believe this isn't either a war for oil, regime change or due to influence from a foreign state. All of which are stuff Trump campaigned against, not in favor of.

Especially when they are supporting terrorist groups across the Middle East (Hamas, Hezbollah). Controlling Iran is also a move to control China so this isn’t just moving checkers on the board.

Then why doesn't the US strike North Korea? Who actually does have nuclear weapons and ICBMs? Or Russia? Or China? This is a war for oil, as it always has been. Or for, well, a different State that isn't neither the US nor Iran... Also, you mean the money Iran gave the US for weapons that were never delivered? Actually, they did have to send troops to Europe because Italy and Germany declared war on the US, making their ships legitimate targets for U-boats. Not to mention that Hitler had his generals drafting plans for a land invasion to the east coast of the US. Also, Trump said last year that Iran's nuclear program was "decimated" and that it would be "decades" before Iran could once again hope for a nuclear weapon. So, was he lying then or is he lying now? How come Iran had lower yields of enriched uranium before Trump ripped apart the nuclear agreement the US had with them?

@asadnasir2000 Was WWII our war? Japan attacked us, but we didn’t have to send troops to Europe. However, we did and world is a different place as a result. We were the only ones that could make this move and an Iran without a nuclear weapon is a better spot no matter how you get there
