Athens varsity baseball improves to 6-0 on the season with 10-0 win over Lamphere. Derek Smith tossed a no hitter. Only the 5th no hitter in school history. Derek pitched 5 innings and had 8 K’s. The team plays at home again tomorrow and looks to stay undefeated at the Hawks nest

Royal Oak Nationals 16u get first win of the summer with a 1-0 win over the Hit Dogs 16u. Casey Morris throws a complete game No Hitter striking out 7. Tyson Danescu gets the game winning RBI. Team looks to advance with a win tomorrow as they face off vs. Detroit Metro Stars 16u.

Derek Smith pitched a gem for the Redhawks going all 7 and giving up 0 runs while striking out 8. Oliver Holmes was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles. Andrew Cermak was 2 for 2 and called a great game behind the plate. Joseph Morelli added a single with RBI.

Varsity baseball earns a 8-2 win vs Troy. Nick Rossi 3 for 3 with a double and 3 runs scored. Sam Link pitches 5 strong innings for the win striking out 3 and at the plate hits a double with an RBI. Up next is Clarkston today at Clarkston.

In yesterday’s victory over Lamphere Derek Smith pitch 4 shutout innings with 6 Ks. Ty Manning 2 for 3 with a double, 2 steal, 2 runs and RBI, Macklin Ciurla had 2 hits with 2 RBI, Nick Rossi pitched 1 shutout innings with 3 Ks and at plate went 3 for 4 with RBI.

All 3 levels get a win yesterday. Varsity with a 16-4 win over Lamphere, JVA 16-1 over Lamphere and JVB 2-1 over Troy.
