I don't understand why people claim that Spinoza was original in attempting an axiomatic-deductive metaphysics when Proclus preceded him by over a millenia, nor why Husserl's phenomenology isn't considered near plagiarism of Hegel's earlier methodology in the Science of Logic.

This weekend’s youth organizing conference in Cayambe, hometown of Mama Tránsito and Dolores Cacuango—two of Ecuador’s most recognized indigenous movement elders, who led the Communist Party of Ecuador in several key organizing campaigns—reminded me how much mestizo pachamama liberals have tried to strip the indigenous movement of its communist history and manufacture false tensions between indigenous communities and Marxists, despite el pueblo indígena being central to the history of Marxist struggles in Latin America.
