Which means we need to free up family homes, rather than focus just on new homes. Giving older people better choice, alongside incentives like stamp duty reductions, would have far more impact for 40-something FTBs who want a house they can grow into telegraph.co.uk/money/property…

There is a general view that when we talk about FTBs we are talking about young people, and building small flats is the key to unlocking the market. The reality is that many people getting on the housing ladder are looking for space for a family. 1/2

We enjoyed seeing several Members yesterday for our Board Meeting and Leadership Forum, discussing what’s next for the #integratedretirementcommunity sector. A huge thank you to all who joined us!

Using different types of land is just one possible solution for the housing crisis. Pledges must move from simply building more homes to building the right type. There is a desperate need for more diversity in our housing mix and that has to be the focus of future housing policy
