@EdWithSports The bigger brand is Disney and their 80% ownership of ESPN who struck a 10 year deal with the SEC just last year negates this IMO. Especially since Birmingham has been ESPN’s top market for 12 years

For the second-straight year, the College Football Committee left out the bigger brand when it had the argument to put them in (Alabama last year, Notre Dame this year). Those moves add credibility to the process.

🧵I spoke with @DsayavedraEPISD today and asked that the @EPISD school board delay tomorrow's school closure decision. The list of schools to be closed was just announced on 10/17 and my office received over 1,200 messages from constituents whose concerns deserve to be addressed.

My request as an elected representative to EPISD regarding any school closure plan has been clear: follow the evidence-based research to protect the children, families, and communities most vulnerable to long-term harm. Unfortunately, this is not the case.
