@CTurtEmoji The urge to decapitate oneself and replace one's head rises. Regrettably, this does not work so I guess not caring will have to do. Alternatively: lobotomy!

English

@AutisticHittite Yes this is the default for autistics. You'll need to address that first because that self doubt will drive women away even if you get one on the hook

Nice that I have a concrete list of kanji to aim for as a benchmark! I'm good with hiragana but still get tripped up on some katakana. Also I need to review grammar/sentence structure again...

@CTurtEmoji To be quite frank my default assumption in any given non-optimal interaction is that I messed something up and it's my fault. Even in optimal ones the possibility nags at me in the back of my head.

English

@CTurtEmoji It is? I guess that's somewhat a relief but in such a case I'm back at square 0 with zero women of interests, zero prospects and time/family breathing down my neck.

I made a video about this painting a few years ago, it means quite a lot to me. It's my old man's favourite painting ever since he saw it as a kid in the art gallery of Hamilton and I think it also made a huge impression on me growing up as well.
He said at the time he interpreted it differently than the legend Blair Bruce based it off of, which is a hunter's phantom carrying on in the wilderness and occasionally spotted by hunters and poachers. But rather that this hunter had died and in his last moments he sees his soul carrying on the journey.
Blair Bruce has studied art in Paris and Barbizon, being exposed to impressionism and the Barbizon school, carrying back those influence to Canada, himself being a major influence on the Group of Seven.
but here you see a stark contrast to his other works, the landscape is kept minimalist and barren, the details on the figures are rendered with a keen attention to mood, and the palette is kept muted with only cool blues, siennas and umbers, he would later use a lot of brighter colours later on that are more typical of impressionist landscape painting. he is also painting in solid colour masses that are blended with attention to detail rather than the broken colour swatches you see in his other figurative work. all in all this painting is set apart and it gives it a very eerie feeling, like he knew the subject matter being evoked required a different, more illustrative approach.

@CTurtEmoji I ain't going to lie there is a non-zero chance it is 3 and I worked up the nerve to try again for nothing except likely humiliation and ruining of a relationship and that eats at me heavily

English

@AutisticHittite It's not that serious and any misstep is either
1. Ignored if she already likes you
2. Recovered from with a better move later
3. Fucked because you never stood a chance to begin with so nothing mattered
