We’re unable to keep up with the current amount of applications we receive, and we want to be able to maintain our schedule/promise to applicants and grantees. This change will also give our team time to work on building infrastructure to hopefully make this a temp change. (3/3)

Emergency applications (tinyurl.com/apoc-emergency) will remain open throughout the year, except during staff breaks (which we’ll post about in advance). We really didn’t want to place a limit on our applications, but we’ve been working on a backlog for years now. (2/3)

Hello everyone! We at the APOC Fund have a new change to how and when we accept general applications. Starting next month, our general application (tinyurl.com/apoc-general) will only be open for four months each year, so that’s January, April, July, and October. (1/3)

it doesn’t matter what saying the oppressed uses, the oppressor will always say that it’s dangerous and unfair. “black lives matter” brought out people saying “so white lives don’t matter” and “from the river to the sea” brought out “you want the eradication of all jews” you can’t try to accommodate to them cause while they kiII you, they’ll get mad you used some words they “don’t like”

i disagree. prisons should not exist, and this suggests the opposite. crime and incarceration are contrived—largely defined by poverty, a society structured by deprivation, and antiblack coercive violence. carceral logics make these conditions possible. it’s prison.

Someone helpfully corrected my language. I’m no longer referring to Gaza as an “open air prison.” That implies the residents committed crimes other than just being born. It is a concentration camp

Today we learnt about Korea's first psychoanalyst 김성희 Kim Sung Hi/Kim Sung Hee (1917-2003). He challenged inhumane practices against people with mental illness. We would like to know more about him. If you have any information about him please share it with us. Thanks.

🔺Grab and go bag - stuff you can grab if you have to leave home in a hurry and unassisted. 🔺At home bag: water, food, first aid, clothing, medical supplies, meds. Again, a bag of stuff you can use unassisted if you’re trapped at home.

If the child on the left was old enough to pick cotton and the child on the right was old enough to attend Klan rallies, then today's children are old enough to learn about both of these and how they've led us to where we are today.
