Even Francis edged it 3–2 by turning into a wrestler. And now, against such a refined striker, steps even more accomplished striker Alex Pereira. Both Pereira and Gane have record-level striking accuracy in the UFC. They both land 62% of their strikes. In the history of elite competition, only Overeem has been more accurate. Ciryl Gane is much more mobile and faster than Alex. He is also a very crafty counterpuncher. And when he’s healthy and motivated, he can do almost everything. We saw it against Tom Aspinall. There's a good chance he will do it against Pereira. Alex builds insane legacy by fighting for the interim Heavyweight title. Whoever wins - fights Tom Aspinall which makes this fight even more exciting. @fajen63 Wie schlagfertig. Bin echt beeindruckt. Immerhin hab ich weder Nachts - noch zu einer anderen Tageszeit - keine Angst vor Einbildungen.

Wenn ich nachts von Freunden nach Hause gehe durch unsere Kreisstadt in Niedersachsen, dann ist das eine echte Mutprobe mittlerweile. Ich kenne alle Schleichwege, bin hier geboren. Und ich bin 193 cm groß, wiege im Moment aber nur noch 90 statt 102 Kg. Aber ich bin halt auch schon 62. Immer, wenn ich Gruppen von jungen Männern, in der Stadt entgegenkommen sehe, oder an der Straße stehen sehe, mache ich große Umwege, gehe teilweise zurück, nur um niemanden direkt zu begegnen. Und es sind viele Leute in der Stadt auf den Straßen nachts, nur halt keine Deutschen. Statt 20 Minuten, bin ich dann schon mal 50 Minuten unterwegs für 3 Kilometer. Ich glaube ich besorge mir Pfefferspray diesen Herbst. Verdammter Mist. Ist das ein Angstpsychose oder gesunder Menschenverstand. Ich mag nicht arglos sein.

Of course I was rooting for another British Undisputed Champion and everything leading up to #UsykDubois2 would appear that Dubois was ready for the moment. I’m not sure if the plan was to jump on Usyk early and rattle him, but Usyk has seen it ALL… and fights almost scientifically with great footwork. That’s always going to be a tall order.
