Prime Minister @RishiSunak says @ #NFU24 he is announcing the biggest package of grants of over £200 million to ensure they keep their promises of spending £2.4 billion on farming. … so not new money, but old money with a new label, possibly available due to under spent in ELMs

At #NFU24 @Minette_Batters says that 50% of subsidies should be focused on food production and she looks forward to hear what the PM will say on this. The PM just told us in an exclusive interview that food is a public good… but 50% may be a bit more than what he has in mind.
