That’s right, 21! 21 defensive rebounds. Now you had to ask yourself how is this possible. I will tell you. Nikola Jokic does not play ANY defense at all. He does not contest shots (this is why they nearly lost to a tanking team) and stays under the rim PRAYING the opponents miss their shots so he can grab the rebound WHICH ARE ALMOST ALWAYS UNCONTESTED. So in conclusion, he had a horrendous shooting night, forced passes and made his teammates shoot to get him assists, went back into his non shooting gimmick, and stat padded uncontested rebounds. This is why we watch basketball with our eyes, and not box scores or mathematic equations.
