I agree Republicans should do this.
Their bill should
1) Ban mid-decade redistricting.
2) Require states to draw districts that follow county lines and city lines.
3) Favor compactness.
4) Make it clear the VRA's pro-racial-gerrymander provisions are subordinate to the above.

We’ll get into this more on the next Tri-State episode, but I really don’t think the #Isles gave up too much for Schenn.
At that point, with the team still in a playoff spot, doing nothing or moving guys like Lee and Pageau probably would’ve felt like a slap in the face to both the room and the fans.
I’d rather see a GM take a shot and try to help the team win than just stand pat. And in the bigger picture, it’s not a move that really changes their long term trajectory all that much.

All you have to do is listen to Darche’s trade deadline interview with Tri-State hockey to understand his thinking. He wouldn’t have made the move for Schenn if they were 3-4 points out, but they were barely in playoff position. This outcome was never worth the risk #Isles
