Turkish Sex Criminal Deported On Holiday Flight With British Families. Horrified passengers, including families with children, endured a nightmare 90-minute ordeal after a Turkish national was escorted onto a scheduled Wizz Air commercial flight from London Gatwick to Istanbul last Tuesday, May 13. Witnesses described chaotic scenes as officials in high-visibility jackets dragged the handcuffed detainee, understood to have served time in a UK prison for sex offences, up the aircraft stairs before forcing him into the rear of the Airbus, while the man repeatedly shouted no and violently resisted officers. According to passengers onboard, the disturbance continued for around 90 minutes after take-off. Travellers said the detainee screamed continuously, fought against restraints and spat directly in one passenger's face. Cabin crew attempted to shield nearby passengers by hanging high-vis jackets around the back section of the aircraft, while onboard paramedics handed out wipes and reassured travellers that the man’s medical history had been checked. After landing in Istanbul, the captain apologised for the upset caused by the detainee, as Turkish police boarded the aircraft and took the man into custody.
