ZACH MERKLE Just like with Jeff/Eric Charles, I covered a lot of games with Zach’s father, Matt, behind the plate for Punkin Miller’s Orioles. Appropriate that he scored the game-winning run Tuesday night as Iron Valley won the @BMLScores title for the first time since 2004.

JEFF CHARLES I covered Jeff’s dad, Eric, when he played for Punkin Miller’s Orioles and sat with Eric & Jeff at a lot of @BMLScores playoff games over the years when Eric was league president. So I was happy to interview Jeff after his big hit last night at @CreekerBaseball.
