I have now received a response regarding November Call dates & the October BSB sit. You have to wait for BOTH results to come before getting called, so even if you have passed August, you cannot then be called in November as you have to wait for the October result @blwstndrdsbrd

Students Against The BSB Exam Regulations
providers are putting the onus on students to identify suitable venues for the October resit as British Council venues are closed in Bangladesh. students shouldn’t have to figure out the logistics of an exam that they might not have needed to sit.

@lawsocgazette Please can you report on the fact that we have to resit before knowing our results?

Has anyone heard of any other exam for which you have to decide whether to resit before knowing your results?

The @barstandards think I have had extra time to revise over the summer. Please understand my reality. I live in a first floor flat in central London without a garden. I was shielding my 4 and 6 year old, girl schooling all three one of whom is in year 4 and had a lot of work.

Students Against The BSB Exam Regulations
A student who completed the BPTC at BPP last year has told us that last year, part time students at BPP were allowed to see their ethics grades before choosing whether to resit (& resits were treated as a first sit) 1/2

With respect, could DG Mark Neale explain to us: 1) why he omitted telling the Bar AGM today an important exception in the rule that could allow the release of results 2) the difference in treatment between last year and this year which appears wholly irrational. @blwstndrdsbrd

this seems to be the rule preventing the early release of results. surely the august exam fiasco should count as a substantiated case of extenuating circumstances that warrants exception to the normal rule? #ReleaseTheResults

a student rang the bsb today following their oct resit decision, this is what they were told: 1. We’ve had 4 months extra revision so should feel grateful 2. A majority didn’t have an issue with the exams 1/4

Why not just give us a pass or fail mark? Then we won’t be able to have a “second bite of the cherry” just to get a better mark. #releasetheresults

Tell anyone outside the legal world the catalogue of issues we’ve faced and this final ridiculous requirement to resit before knowing results and they won’t believe you.

.@barstandards are making us resit exams before knowing our results, 7 months after teaching ended, and because of technical failures caused by them. Where is the fairness? Why do the BSB continue to punish students for failures that are not students’ fault? #releasetheresults
