Genuinely looking outside the Lions bubble did anyone in the NFC North really get better this offseason? Viking added a QB that is an upgrade but got worse at other areas. Packers and Bears have done nothing but get worse

The fact that Max Iheanachor isn’t getting more first round buzz is mind boggling to me. Athleticism is off the charts, has the traits and measurables, and his technique is impressive for a player as raw as he is.

I definitely have an idea on how the cap works(not rocket science) And there are consistent contenders Historically speaking, the Steelers, Packers, and Ravens have been consistent contenders for decades Rams and Bills are two modern day examples of consistent contenders

Everyone is talking about the edge rush & rightfully so. But the biggest issue with the Lions’ defense last year, imo, was the lack of interior pressure. Hoping Alim McNeill returns to form. When healthy in 2024 he posted a 14.5% pass rush win rate (per ESPN), which ranked 6th among all DTs. That would give this defense a massive boost.

@DetroitPodcast I know the Lions have a potential out with Kerby after 2026 due to how his contract is structured. However, we haven’t even seen him play yet. Jumping to the assumption that he’ll be off the roster because of that is pretty shortsighted and doesn’t make much sense.

Kerby Joseph Thoughts: Almost every game last season it was painfully clear & obvious how much the Lions missed Kerby Joseph. In fact I found myself saying nearly every drive: “Damn. Kerby might have had that one.” It’s one of the more disingenuous & with-the-benefit-of hindsight opinions I’ve ever seen to say the Lions shouldn’t have extended a player like that with 20 INTs in 3+ seasons. Nevertheless when really looking at the Lions offseason — an offseason where they’ve made 10+ external additions to the roster. And with the idea that Brian Branch is going to miss the start of the season … it seems somewhat significant to me that the only real addition to the position has been Christian Izien — a guy that is more of a hybrid than a true safety. Is that telling of where they think Kerby Joseph is health wise? To me it is and I think he’ll be the Week 1 starter.

@SameTayl0819472 We'll be straight. We're kinda in a 49ers situation where they got alot of talent from 2019-2023 and they just needed a couple more pieces. Could be worse. We could be Green Bay were we have 2-3 high end players and the roster of the roster ranging from average to below average

@BSilver92 Yeah we don’t really have money anymore. The issue is that there was no need to restructure Goff to sign Cade Mayes and the others we got. It was a complete waste of money and took money from future years not a big fan of this offszn
