Trump knows the Constitution bars a third term. But by floating the idea, he’s using a classic psychological tactic: normalizing the unthinkable through repetition and ambiguity. This is how democratic erosion begins—not with bold declarations, but with vague “some people say” comments designed to desensitize the public to authoritarian overreach. There’s no “way” around the 22nd Amendment.
Just another way Trump flirts with power beyond limits because for him, boundaries are just suggestions.
