Besides all the other reasons AI sucks it is wild to me that one of the main selling points is “this will replace jobs!” And people are down with that, especially now when there’s no job growth in the US. Like what? How do you expect to live if your job is cut due to AI?

Carlson’s critique upholds American myths and power and can also be dismissed as right wing fodder. Coates’ critique doesn’t and cannot.
