@GeneralTurd @___Colb___ The default is going to be to start Shedeur. Watson will have to look like it’s 2019 or the rookie is going to have to Russel Wilson it. Otherwise Shedeur will open the season as QB1. It’s been obvious for awhile.

@Kwen_C It’s because after Collins got hurt our run D went in the tank and it exposed this as a weakness in Graham’s game. Run stops is a sleight of hand stat in this instance. It could reveal opportunity or effectiveness but its use in a vacuum doesn’t tell us which.

@___Colb___ Mason really wasn’t despite playing with a much better and healthier supporting cast and full organizational support from day 1. Also noteworthy that Mason regressed without Malik next to him although again, like Shedeur, he did show flashes.

@curtiss_brown21 If clips were all that mattered then William Green would be in the Hall of Fame. Mason looked like a rookie vs the run. But again he showed flashes. He had an outstanding supporting cast and wasn’t burdened by a bottom tier coach like the offense. Patience seems reasonable.

The flashes might get you on a roster as a developmental guy. The consistency gets you the starting job. That’s why Graham is a key piece of the defense and Sanders may get a roster spot.

I’d argue Mason Graham being a “C” is way too harsh of a grade relative to his actual on field performance.
I truly believe people thought Mason wasn’t good in general so, when they couldn’t ding the Browns for his on field performance, they dinged them for not taking a tackle.
