Year 2 as a landlord of a rental property in the USA. I fucking hate it. Paid 550k cash. Fees are idiotic. Constantly something broken. Making 1-2% yearly max from rentals. Price didn't move so far. Sure it will at some point but I don't think I will make more than 100% in a decade. For me as a trader who can make 50-100% yearly on my account, this is the worst investment. I will dump that damn place soon and never again.

Barbara Lee wants a $50 federal minimum wage. When asked how small businesses could possibly survive paying that, she said she once ran a small business and “just do the math” on the Bay Area’s high cost of living. She didn’t explain how a mom-and-pop shop, restaurant, or startup could afford to pay $50 an hour without slashing jobs, raising prices, or shutting down. She just demanded it anyway. This is who keeps hurting our city.
