Prime Minister @MarkJCarney was quick to offer unconditional support for Trump’s illegal war of choice against Iran, and now he inexplicably stands by it in defeat.
This was a ‘preemptive’ war that defied the UN Charter, opened with the bombing of an elementary girls’ school and widespread attacks on civilian infrastructure, veered into genocidal threats against Iranian civilization as a whole, destabilized the entire region, and triggered a global energy crisis. Yet Carney has the audacity to claim that it was “worth it.”
Carney has long abandoned any concerns for international law in order to appease Trump, but this justification of US-Israeli war crimes is beyond the pale.

Trump is already cheating shamelessly under the MOU.
He’s allowing Israel to continue its genocide in Lebanon.
He’s calling for Syria’s terrorist forces to invade Lebanon.
And now he’s putting Iran’s ballistic missile program back on the table despite the MOU’s silence on that issue.
And that’s not all the ways that he is cheating.
This agreement is not worth toilet paper. No agreement with Trump is worth toilet paper.

BREAKING: The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem says Israeli authorities illegally raided and seized Church-owned land in Silwan. According to a statement released today, Israeli authorities raided the site on June 15, forcibly removed the Church’s representative, confiscated equipment, uprooted trees, and fenced off the property. The Patriarchate says the land is legally registered under Church ownership and has launched legal proceedings to regain access. The Patriarchate warned that the move sets a dangerous precedent for Christian institutions in Jerusalem and called on the international community to intervene.
