Warrington Wolves and Hull FC can jointly confirm that an agreement has been reached for Steve McNamara to become Head Coach of Hull FC ahead of the 2027 Super League season. As part of the agreement, Hull FC has paid a substantial transfer fee to secure McNamara’s services. McNamara will remain fully committed to his current role at Warrington for the remainder of the 2026 season before taking up his new position at the MKM Stadium.

@Caleb7StH I think the problem that many of us have is that he’s generally been really poor against any half decent sides. I think he had a good game against Wigan but his defence is suspect.

Probably the most disrespected player in the league currently, he’s had his moments yes but overall he’s been more than solid which is impressive considering he’s been moved around positions more than anyone else in our squad last two seasons, a contract extension is a no brainer

@chrisholme1983 TBF they had to look at it given the accusation. At Wembley last year, Thewlis accused Sue of spitting at him. Absolutely zero evidence from the video and Sue was found not guilty
