We have 0 chance of keeping Kyle Tucker, I hope all of the Cubs fanbase is aware. The Dodgers offered Soto a $600M+ contract last year. The Phillies, Yankees, and Mets will not shy away from spending big either. Tom has 0 chance to keep Tucker. I fucking hate this ownership..

Moises Ballesteros is literally a force to be reckon with guys. Moises is only 19 and already in AA helping the @smokiesbaseball with their playoffs! Exciting stuff for MoBaller and what he has in-store for the future for the Cubs!

Two intriguing options for the Cubs that wouldn't be as expensive as Zac Gallen? Chris Bassitt and Lucas Giolito Bassitt is one of my favorite remaining arms. He's as consistent as they get, having posted 2.0+ fWAR in each of his last five seasons. He came out of the bullpen during the 2025 playoffs, which could be beneficial for the Cubs once Justin Steele comes back. Giolito is coming off a season with the Red Sox in which he got rather lucky, with an xERA (5.06) that was 165 points higher than his actual ERA (3.41). Nonetheless, he's shown a lot of potential in the past, and could be an interesting project to give the team more rotation depth.

I love Ballesteros and all but expecting him and Caissie to produce what Tucker did is foolish. Also, not having Tucker in the lineup is just going to make this offense mediocre yet again like it was in 23 and 24 lol
