BITAN Mother and Child Health Project implementation team members conducted an interactive participatory discussion with the Eligible Couple of NayaBasti slum area to orient them regarding the Ante Natal Care related issues.

Devanandapur Gram Panchayat is known as the birth place of Swarat Chandra Chattopadhyay hence the day is celebrated to mark his birthday. As a team of ITC-MSK and BITAN we participated and celebrated the day by spreading the awareness message of SWM through miking and rally.

BITAN Mother and Child Health Project implementation team has a strong intention to empower the Women in terms of financially and socially. In connection with that objective, We always motivated our field area Mothers to adopt self-sustaining approach.

Team members of BITAN Kolkata organised the District level Coordination meeting at DPO ICDS Office with the presence of DSWO and CDPOs of Kolkata District on Child Marriage Free Wards and to strengthen of Ward Level Child Protection Committee.

Access to Justice Project in Kolkata (An initiative of Kailash Satyarthi Children's Fund)-BITAN has been organising awareness and sensitization programmes across different schools of Kolkata on issues of prevention of Child Marriage,Sexual Abuse,Child Labour,Child Trafficking.

A PRI training at Chandrahati-1 GP was organized by Bitan and ITC MSK.Pradhaan, Upo Pradhaan, other PRI members and government employees participated in this training.The subject of this training was ODF PLUS activities i.e.solid waste management liquid waste management.

BITAN Mother and Child Health Project Implementation Team participated in the SEED BALL MAKING WORKSHOP, conducted and facilitated by the GSK CSR Team. Bitan has a strong interaction with the GSK to implement more sustainabl in the grassroot level to increase the awareness level

BITAN - Kolkata organised school level sensitization and pledge programme today in two higher secondary girls schools of Kolkata with over 140 participants in each of the schools. Students took part in preparing IEC on prevention of Child Marriage and Child Trafficking.

It was a great opportunity for BITAN Team to participate at the Adamas Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conclave 2023 organised by E-YUVA Centre of Adams University,supported by BIRAC.The BITAN team has been able to demonstrate the concept of“Waste to Wealth”during the 2days event

Continuing with the @CMFI_2022 Campaign, BITAN team members have organised community and school based programmes as part of the the #ChildMarriageFreeIndiaCampaign during 10th to 14th August in different locations of Kolkata city.

As part of @CMFI_2022 Campaign, BITAN team members organised several community events along with schools, ICDS and SHGs in Kolkata. Wide response from all have been received across the communities.

The journey from adolescence to adulthood took its first step on 5th August 2023 in presence of our beloved founder inspirations, guides, government officials, donor organisations, well-wishers and above all the colleagues of BITAN family.

Observation of World Day Against Trafficking in Person: BITAN - Kolkata team observed the day on 30th July with Jorabagan Police Station under Kolkata Police. Above 40 children from the local communities took pledge along with the police to report cases of child rights violation

BITAN Kolkata team has oriented above 100 students & teachers of Sree Sambhu Sadan School on adverse effect of Child Marriage, Child Trafficking and Child Sexual Abuse. They all took pledge to report and prevent such cases in their localities.

School pledge programme at Sarat Chadra Pal School for Girls ar Ward-76 of Kolkata Municipal Corporation today. 93 students along with teachers participated in the pledge programme.

BITAN in partnership with @KSCFIndia has been implementing the National level project titled "Access to Justice" across the city of Kolkata. The main purpose of this initiative is to ensure justice to children victims of Child Marriage, Child Trafficking and Child Sexual Abuse.

BITAN's SAG- KP Convergence Programme of Jalpaiguri Sadar ICDS Project organised a participatory discussion with adolescent girls of Garalbari Shobhagunj Girls Junior High School. Participants discussed on evils of child marriage and it's prevention and nutrition flag and anemia

A team from Hooghly district authority consisting Assistant District Coordinator - sanitation, pradhan and deputy pradhan, nirman sahayaks of various GPs visited Tribeni Learning Centre of ITC - Mission Sunehra Kal to learn about various aspects of SWM to replicate the same.
