As our classes continue, yesterday we were privileged to have one of our own “the banker” 😊 @IamRSema walk us through the problems within the fiat system and possible solutions.🎊
We explored how fiat money is prone to:
. Monetary inflation ; more money being printed and put into circulation
• Price inflation; rising costs of goods and services
Over time, this reduces purchasing power and widens wealth inequality.
We also discussed how Cypherpunks attempted to decentralize the digital future through various innovations. Yet despite their bold efforts, many faced practical challenges and struggled to fully materialize in the real world.
