I knew they were smart, but I had no idea they could make and use tools, I wanted this design to look like it’s really hatching an idea and include a lil pop of colour! I love birds, I can’t express that enough, and I’m constantly fascinated by how smart many of them are.”

Birds are a huge interest of mine, so you can imagine my excitement when I was contacted about creating the pin for Goffin’s Cockatoo! I know a lot about my native woodland birds, so researching Goffin’s Cockatoo was new and exciting to me!

Our next episode celebrates some highly intelligent avian animals. We were quite pleasantly surprised by the things these beasts were able to accomplish. Can you guess what the next bizarre beast is?
