@jasonkredline A lot of programs that won't make the CFP are spending over $50M/year, and it's rising quickly. July 1st '26 is Coach Mullen's final Florida buyout payment. 5 more seasons and the $3M/year bump for giving up Boyd Stadium goes away. CFP is not what the fundraising is supporting.

If Unlv Football does not make the 2026 college football playoff it is a failure, and it’s time to make that the standard of UNLV football. With the schedule next year, we have a great opportunity. We can have a really strong case over the American conference with wins over Memphis and North Texas. We have a winnable P4 game, home against Cal And a manageable MW schedule. Really liking what I’m hearing about UNLVs defense heading into next season. With Jett Thomas back, and some very nice talent up and down the offense, I really think the goal for unlv football next year is to be a top 85 or so. Really like what we’re seeing from the offensive line, should be a more cohesive unit. Coaching staff also seems a lot more comfortable. If we don’t make the playoff next year, it’s a failure. Making the playoff is really tough, we will have to go 12-1 or better to do it, and that’s a tall task. But I believe we can, And I believe that is the proper standard to hold Rebel football too. Ole Miss transfer Corey Chest is currently on a visit to UNLV. The 6’8” sophomore forward averaged 2.6 points, and 3.8 rebounds per game for the Rebels. Started off at LSU.

New Orleans transfer MJ Thomas has committed to UNLV, his agents at WME Basketball told ESPN. 6-8 forward averaged 10.8 points and 8.0 rebounds this past season, put up 13.5 points and 13.0 rebounds in the Southland tournament.

NEWS: Florida State transfer Cam Miles has committed to UNLV, his agent CJ Ward of @LIFTSPORTSMNGMT told @LeagueRDY. The 6-foot-2 guard and former four-star recruit played one season at Florida State and appeared in 25 games. Averaged 5.4PPG, 1.7APG and 1.0RPG this season.
