It’s interesting that you didn’t mention that revenue generation from taxes hit record amounts during the Reagan administration. Annual revenue collected actually doubled over the eight years he was in office. Congress lied about not increasing spending and spent more than was taken in. That’s not Reagan’s fault.

@JayD73256583468 @GTeaman @AesPolitics1 Me too. Reagan raised my taxes, too. It was a real struggle t o buy a tiny townhouse for our first home under Reagan. 13% mortgages were common and ours was 12 7/8%. We were chronically broke due to Reagan's policies. He sucked.

@BleedingHartL1b @GTeaman @AesPolitics1 My just widowed mom had to take out a loan to pay federal taxes thanks to Reagan’s tax “cuts”. He also nearly tripled the national debt. I was still pretty young, but I read a lot about politics back then, registered as Democrat and have voted Dem 95% of the time since.

@BleedingHartL1b @GTeaman @AesPolitics1 There was a severe recession before Reagans policies took hold. Very early in his Presidency. After that there was only a couple months of mild recession for the next 18 years.

An American checks her student loans. She borrowed $49,548.74. After 120 payments, she’s paid $25,558.36. Her current balance? $50,121.33. After paying $25k… she now owes MORE than she originally borrowed. This isn’t aid — it’s a SCAM.

@TheRabbitHole So no specific civilization should claim they single handedly abolished slavery, it was a universal collective effort .

@lady_valor_07 They spent more time in Earth Orbit testing all the maneuvers they would need to do to survive and complete the mission profile. Only after those tests did they go for Lunar Insertion.

Lol sure. It’s amazing Democrats have held the White House for 20 years since Reagan left office (with Clinton, Obama, Biden all having full control of Congress at different times) and they’re still using that boogeyman. Meanwhile, back in the land of reality, the bottom 50% pay only 3% of income taxes.

@GrimlockTweet @AesPolitics1 Defense, roads, bridges, airports, fire fighters, law enforcement, courts, the Internet, basic research for tech leadership, new medicines, and cures for cancer and more. You live in a sea of benefits from the society around you. "Taxes are the price of Civilization."

@AesPolitics1 Why is the starting point “tax cuts” - Why should anyone accept this idea that the government should take some large % of your income and then decide what to do with it for you, including hand your money to someone else who they decide needs it more than you do? Insanity.

@GTeaman @AesPolitics1 How good it was? I paid 12 7/8 percent on my first mortgage. Then Reagan made 99% of Americans poorer to give all the gains to the top 1%. There was also a severe recession under Reagan. In fact, Carter's Job creation rate was higher than Reagan's.

@AesPolitics1 This is a great example of how liberals rewrite history. Anyone who lived during the Reagan years would remember how good it was, especially after Carter. This is how people with an agenda twist and turn facts to say what they want them to say. Bottom line, this is BS.

@aakashgupta Jeff Bezos and his crew are doing some great work. This is the kind of thinking that we need to support a lunar base. New Glenn rockets can support our lunar programs. The ship-it-from-Earth supply chain is very limited even if reusable rockets cut the cost by 90%.

Lunar soil is 45% oxygen by mass. Almost half the ground astronauts walk on is breathable air, locked inside chemical bonds with iron, titanium, and aluminum. Blue Origin's Blue Alchemist reactor heats crushed Moon rock to 1,600°C, turning it into a molten conductor. Then it runs an electric current through the melt. Oxygen ions migrate to one electrode and bubble off as gas. Iron, silicon, and aluminum collect at the other. The economics are where this gets wild. Delivering one kilogram of anything to the lunar surface costs roughly $1.2 million. A single astronaut breathes about 0.84 kg of oxygen per day. That's over $300 million per year per person just to keep breathing, shipped from Earth. This reactor doesn't just solve the breathing problem. The metals that come out of the same process are construction-grade iron and aluminum. The silicon gets refined into radiation-resistant solar cells. The glass covers those solar cells to protect them for 10+ years on the surface. One machine, running on solar power, producing air, building materials, electronics, and rocket fuel from dirt. Blue Origin estimates this could cut lunar landing costs by 60% and reduce fuel cell mass by 70%. Their facility in LA already spans 60,000 square feet of lab space with 65 researchers. They're running an autonomous demo in simulated lunar conditions this year. The real constraint on a permanent Moon base was never getting there. It was staying there without a $1.2 million-per-kilogram supply chain from Earth. This reactor breaks that constraint at the molecular level.
