Happy Birthday to the late Claude Overton, out of Temple, Oklahoma ( and McAlester High School) & @ECUTigersMBB 6’2 195; At @ECUTigersMBB Overton was the leading scorer on the team that finished as the national runner-up in the 1950 @NAIA Tournament—he was the Oklahoma Collegiate Conference scoring champion that season, averaging 21.6 points per game—Overton was later inducted into the @NAIA Basketball Hall of Fame in 1974; 1 year @NBA career; After his playing career, Overton had a long coaching career spanning 18 seasons at various high schools and colleges in Oklahoma; He is the father of former @OU_MBBall standout @BoOverton ; 12-16-1927 to 4-29-1996 ( aged 68)….

Happy Birthday @BoOverton out of Ada, Oklahoma & @OU_MBBall The 1979 Oklahoma High School Basketball Player of the Year; @OU_MBBall 1980-1983, he was the starting point guard and at the end of his career, he held school records for free throw percentage, assists and games played: As Head Coach In 2016-2017 he led @OCUwbball to an @NAIA National Championship; He’s currently the Head Basketball Coach at @OBU_WBBall ; Side note—he won’t remember 🤷🏼‍♂️😂—we met one time at a party in Tulsa ( thinking right after he played in the All State Games up there?? Anyway, got bullshitting because I grew up in Duncan with this crazy sumbitch that moved to Ada- guy named Brian Butler and he’s been a longtime friend of mine-anyway, ole Bo’s just a solid, Oklahoma good ole boy: He couldn’t have been cooler); Same age; 65 Today….#BoomerSooner🅾️
