I saw this sign when I walked into a school a few years ago. We can’t always control our circumstances, but if we remember these two things in 2021... we will make our corner of the world a better place.

A new week is ahead filled w/challenges and opportunities. The winners will reframe the tough times and those who struggle will complain about their challenges. REMEMBER, “NO ONE EVER GROWS IN THEIR COMFORT ZONE”. Great T’s taught me this truth. REFRAME AND GROW.

We want to give a big shout out to Pizza Hut for working with Mrs. Warren to provide additional seating in our outer cafeteria. We were able to add booths, chairs and tables so students can spread out a bit more! We think it looks great! #PBCommunity

We had a great first day today at PBJHS!

We are watching Ts build soc contracts and getting more input than ever thru chats and breakouts virtually. Learning how to self govern is the core of SEL and there is no better way than learning to live “to the aspirations” of a social contract. We make each other better.

This is first day for many Ts and Ss...make it amazing. Remember the first rule...tend to those who tend to others. Be sure to love, encourage, support and affirm each other as you kick off this crazy year. Fill each other’s tanks so it overflows to the students. They need U.

Who would have guessed Bald Know Ark would have some of the most amazing Ed’s? What a wonderful time today w/Melissa Gipson, Sup’t and her team. First time I’ve spoken since March and I’m missing being with great teachers...what a joy. Small towns and awesome people.

Also got to be w/Lisa Moore and Lynn Garner @ H.L. Lubker Elementary in Bald Knob Ark. They are a CKH National Showcase School and you can see why the minute u walk in. They were dancing, singing and having a great time. It’s no wonder their kids want to be back in school.

The social contract was the same as our core values we used! I loved the affirmation notes though, that was my favorite thing.
