I’m not patronizing you. I want to engage with people who have a different pov than I do. I don’t think you’re stupid. People on the left are as guilty of hyperbole as anyone on the right, and it’s dismaying because it muddies the message. But I read a lot of history, and at 76, I’ve lived through a lot of it. All of it is telling me that what Trump and his people are doing is not normal, and it is not right. I am a Progressive. The core tenet of Progressivism is that a society cannot advance when people are marginalized. I do not like the contrasts between the wealthiest citizens and those who are struggling just to get by. I do not like it when agents of our government disregard basic human dignity. These are my values. Too many people on the right see such beliefs as naive at best, and evil somehow at their worst. We get called things like cucks or snowflakes. This is exclusion, marginalization, the very things we see as the root of all of society’s ills. I could go on about this, but let it suffice that it’s wrong. Trump is dragging us in the wrong direction, and we will all suffer for it.

I can see for myself how they lie like morons. Calling the save America act Jim Crow. Referring to ICE as the gestapho and Nazis. Seeing Tim Waltz lie on Capitol Hill about the billions of dollars of fraud being stolen from taxpayers. I see the democrats call the president a liar and fight him as he blows up drug runners boats and captures drug kingpins. I see the democrats fight him and call for violence against the federal officers who are deporting the criminals here illegally because it’s what we the people voted for. Tell me how what I see with my own eyes is fake news. I could go on for days the shit democrats show me day just how much they hate this country and the voters in it. Don’t patronize me as if I’m some drooling moron who doesn’t pay attention. I do. I wouldn’t waste my time talking about it if I didn’t. I’m not here to socialize that’s what real life is for. I know what I see and hear straight from their mouths. You got me twisted.

Very few support Israel. Very few support Trump. Even less support the Iran war. The whole world is against it. Markets are crumbling. Fertilizer prices go up. Fuel prices go up. Remind me again. Why is this happening?

@Kacey_Combs I think about what my characters are feeling, not about how I want my audience to feel. My writing is always character centered rather than plot centered. They make the plot, and they guide me, not the other way around.
