All of New England has been using this mapping structure to rig elections for YEARS! I lived in MA, CT, and NH and most times my vote never even mattered due to gerrymandered maps in New England. Answer me this with about 40% of the New England states voting republican how many representatives do they have in ALL of New England? The answer is ZERO! You read that right ZERO Republican representatives in the 6 states of New England.

The Supreme Court did the Democrats a huge favor by overturning section 2 of the voting rights act while trying to strip the ability for Democrats to vote using red lining tactics, they inadvertently gave permission for blue states to do the same thing. They might have just obliterated the electoral college advantage.

The text is clear — it bans voting qualifications, prerequisites, or standards/practices/procedures that deny or abridge the right to vote based on race. Drawing district maps? That’s none of those things.

10 red states have or are in the process of imposing brutal gerrymanders without a single vote. 2 blue states have responded with voter-approved temporary redraws. Democrats have also introduced a bill to ban gerrymandering nationwide. Both sides are not the same.

You obviously know nothing of the Villages. The kids here are the kids of workers that work for or in the Villages. Grandkids are not eligible for school here. The villages has about 20,000 people that work in or support the Villages those are the kids that go to school here. It is a model school that is one of the best in the country. Many school systems all over the country would absolutely love to have numbers like these in their testing.

This Supreme Court just gutted the Voting Rights Act, opening the door to more racial gerrymandering. This is unacceptable, and Congress must act to protect it.  If the Court won’t protect one of our most fundamental rights, we need a new Voting Rights Act strong enough to stop politicians from picking their voters and silencing communities of color.

The Villages is a retirement community, but it was so cool to see so many kids lining up today to see the president. While the retirees were out on the Golf Course and on the pickle ball courts and in the pools the kids were lining up overnight to see the president. They will be waiting a LONG time as he does not come on until 3PM or so.
