@MyTeslaMoonship So many options. My wife has a 1975 Triumph TR6, a Boxster S and a Tesla Model Y.

Wasn’t sure if everyone knew this but:
-a person can like EVs and gas cars.
-a person can like EVs and not care if others get one or not.
-a person can like EVs and not care about the environment.
-a person can like Tesla and other EV brands.
-a person can question something and still like it.
-a person can cheer for something and know it has flaws.
-a person can like people who like different things.

@literally_whu @AaronAmarok You are always in the gear in which you would like to be. They are more fun to drive. They are rewarding. Perfectly rev-matching that 3-2 shift is a rush. All cars should be manual.
English

I always found it so funny how more and more people think manuals are this unforgiving task that suits only the strongest most talented drivers when in reality its the easiest thing ever
yama@wydyama
There’s no way y’all like driving manual everyday

@WallStreetApes Did she major in stupidity? Pay the principal in addition to the interest.

American logs into her federal student aid account so we can see her actual loans and payments
- She took out a $49,548.74 loan
- She’s made 120 payments, paying $25,558.36
- Her current balance is $50,121.33
So after paying $25,558.36, she now owes more than she took out
“It's all such a scam”

@Eman7Nick Not impressed and neither was the nfl … it’s a reason you bums the first to win a Super Bowl and forced to play on a wenesday while both your rivals open the season 😭😭😭😭😭

@NumbarZero @FrankBr05713205 I do understand how electric power steering works. Check out this article and you’ll get a better understanding. roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a3…
English

@BobbyRead @FrankBr05713205 you dont understand. the "electric" power steering has the exact same gears and mechanism inside of the rack. it is the exact same rack and pignon gear system.

English

For years cars have used hydraulic steering racks that used power steering fluid. Todays cars use electric steering racks which use no power steering fluid. Biggest difference to car owners is replacement cost. The hydraulic rack can be had for approx. $200 to $300 on most cars (plus labor). The electric rack will set you back $ 1,800 (part only) and much more depending on vehicle and they have to be programmed after installation. Technology comes at a cost many times. I will stick to keeping a 3 dollar bottle of power steering fluid on hand for my older car.

English

@coflayed @FrankBr05713205 Power steering only on the Celica. We have some aftermarket front control arms on it that allow us some great camber and caster. I’ve heard good things about the manual rack on the 944, though mine still has the factory power assisted unit.
English

@BobbyRead @FrankBr05713205 Just saw your Celica, nice. I don’t think they came with manual steering though, did they? I had a shortened ratio, manual rack on my old 944 and that was the best feeling steering in any car I’ve ever driven. I miss that.
English

@TigersJUK Nobody wants to play in it. They need to focus on getting ready for the season, not playing in some meaningless preseason tournament.
English

@coflayed @FrankBr05713205 Yes. As do F1, NASCAR and LeMans prototype cars.
English

@BobbyRead @FrankBr05713205 You have power steering on a race car?!?
English

@JeffPassan The USA should send college players to this funny little tournament and let the MLB guys get ready for the real season.
English

@NumbarZero @FrankBr05713205 Hydraulic fluid has low inertia. Road textures, grip changes & vibrations hit your hands directly. Feels alive, connected, natural. McLaren sticks with it because electric motors add mass/inertia that damps high-frequency feedback, like a filter.
English

@BobbyRead @FrankBr05713205 lol. the steering is still mechanically connected to the wheels. the electric motor is just helping. its all in your head.
English

@NumbarZero @FrankBr05713205 Electric feels numb, isolated, over-damped or "dead" on-center/mid-corner. Early ones were worst; modern ones improved but physics still limits raw road talk compared to hydraulic.
