I WROTE A CHILDREN’S BOOK! Eeeek!
You might catch me joking, parenting, posting selfies, or just vibing, but under all that is a grieving mother.
For the ones that don’t know, in 2018, I had identical triplet girls, one of my daughters died in the NICU, and for the past 7 years, I’ve been learning how to carry both joy and pain, navigate grief, and balance motherhood.
I became an advocate for Black child loss awareness because our stories deserve space. Our babies deserve to be remembered.
I wrote My First Day in Heaven, a gentle children’s book told from the perspective of a baby who goes to heaven, to help families talk about loss with tenderness and truth.
This book is so special and personal to me. I pray this post finds the hearts that need it.
