@akatsukink I mean, it's an extremely logical and beautiful conclusion for someone reading the story to reach, and I think it makes it a more beautiful / meaningful one, but i also respect people who want to stick to what is explicitly said in the text itself.

I actually have thoughts about this... I feel like akiangel isn't one of those ships that are debatable (ex: naruto and sasuke, etc.) when the fandom genuinely use the same arguments for akiangel I can't take it seriously because it so strongly do not apply to them

@meruruvdki I'm cis myself so I have no way of understanding dysphoria, but what would you say about someone who wouldn't describe themselves as "dysphoric", but still undergoes HRT and identifies as a woman because they feel "euphoric" when they're presenting as such, or simply bc they can?

@thefoxolotl_94 @tracheesecake Gender is a social construct in the binary sense where one must be an absolute male or absolute female, and those roles fill pre-fabricated societal functions.

@tracheesecake the way i see it, despite gender being a social construct, you can only stretch it so far before you lose its meaning. i notice a lot of xenogenders tend to be personality traits at most, because in reality in reality liking roblox is Not tied to the gender spectrum

@GuntherTimes @helpimanet I mean, yeah. I said gender being a societal structure, in my view, doesn't mean it's entirely and fully formless. I never claimed it was a fully rigid binary. Maybe I'll get woker on this. Maybe not.

@GuntherTimes @helpimanet I'm all for having a more diverse set of gender identities. I think the binary is overtly restrictive and doesn't represent the human psyche aptly enough. But I also think it should broadly (though not exclusively) move on a spectrum of masculinity and femininity.

@GuntherTimes @helpimanet Not to be like evil and unwoke, but gender being a "societal construct" doesn't mean that gender is quite as formless as this would imply. A trans man is a man, and that statement loses a lot of its value if gender as a concept is diluted to the point of individual quirks. -
