This might seem trivial to many, but I’m going to share anyway.
God loves you, way more than you know.
It took me 32 years to realize that God loved me, in spite of all my sins and the burden of regrets that I carried.
That “burden” of regrets.
We all have them.
They separate us from the love of God because we are ashamed and feel unworthy.
That’s how I felt for 32 years.
But God knows your innermost thoughts and struggles.
He’s literally walked with you every step of the way.
Have you ever heard the term: “God is winking at you?”
Do you ever wonder if you are on the right path?
The path that might be having an impact and growing God’s kingdom?
God winked at me today.
When we moved from Texas to Kentucky a few years ago, I had to leave behind a really big honeysuckle plant that I had planted when my kids were born.
Every year, it would blossom and the smell of the flowers reminded me of my girls.
I had to leave that potted honeysuckle plant in Texas because we couldn’t fit it on the moving truck.
I had to let it go and I decided that my wife’s house plants, that she had nurtured for years were more important.
The huge trailer was completely stuffed and we barely closed the door.
My wife’s plants survived, even though every pot was broken.
And here I am mowing our property today.
Doing what I do every time I mow.
Spending time with God.
Giving Him all my worries and then thanking Him for every little thing.
Then I see this big bush.
It’s a huge honeysuckle bush. Probably three times bigger than my potted plant.
And as I rode by it with my mower….the beautiful smell that reminded me of my girls, who I miss.
Priceless.
Then I started to notice something else as I mowed.
We have wild honeysuckle growing in so many places.
It’s everywhere.
Here’s the point.
God loves you.
Nobody loves you more.
Give yourself to Him.
Everything.
This is a truth that I learned early as a Christian.
God is good ALL THE TIME.
ALL THE TIME God is good.
God’s goodness does not depend on my “circumstances.”
God’s goodness is my lighthouse in the storm and the anchor for my life.
Nobody else will understand how important “honeysuckle” means to me, except God.
I shared the struggle of parting with a plant I had grown for years and God heard my heart.
Trust Him.
His plans for you are bigger than you can imagine.
This is truth.
Cling to it.
You never know where you’ll be in five years.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

This quote is one of my favorites. To be candid, I never really understood it because I had never seen it in a person. It’s so rare to be extreme on both sides of this equation.
Then I saw it in a person for the first (and I think only) time in my life, and it all made sense.
Interestingly, to have extreme patience means you have to be able to take withering criticism. And to have extreme decisiveness, you also have to be willing to take withering criticism. To be extreme on both ends, you almost have to missing a gene of caring what other people think.
But in so doing, you have the capacity to take paths and potentially produce outcomes that aren’t possible for others. Therein lies the basis of the advantage. Such a rare mentality.

OK here's the update on Mr. Belvedere. The vet checked him all out and his temperature which was 104.7. Aside from his temperature one of his ears was a little dirty inside and seemed to bug him. So we had them give him fluids, give him nausea medication, antibiotics, test his ears for an infection. His ears did not have ear mites or show any signs of yeast or bacterial infections. We had them clean his ears anyways since one was dirty. Could just be allergies we have had other cats at the sanctuary with ear issues recently. They checked his temperature again and it had gone down some to 103.2 which was good. His is back home and in an enclosure. He is a little more alert and even cried a couple little cries at me when I went to feed him and all the cats. We have him in his own enclosure so I can keep a good eye on him. I gave him some gravy lovers with some hydra care. He ate up all the hydra care and gravy but didn't really eat the morsels. But its a start. Thank you to everyone for your kind words. I'm going to post the bill from the vet. If anyone would like to donate thats awesome. If you could please like and share our post that would be amazing. I don't like having to reach out for help honestly but we couldn't get by with out everyone out their helping. The vet bills always are hard with this many animals.
