@3wojis I should probably play this one day. Had no idea what I was doing in flashback though...
English

@Rattiom32 Demand at a very steep discount, sure. Also it's not scalping. Scalping implies selling an item that's finite for more than it's worth. Neither of these will be happening. He managed to get some games at a wholesale price, and will make some money off them. Much like a shop does.
English

@BoxArtBattle They probably just couldn't be bothered arguing with you because you're making a bad argument, like seriously where's your proof these games were on sale because of "no demand?" The guy in the photo bought all of them to scalp them, so very evidently there is demand.
English

@KidShoryuken You have to pick your order up from an embassy in Turkey
English

@LightlySeason @zerowontmiss Your disdain that a wholesaler is selling goods? What is the actual issue here?
English

@BoxArtBattle @zerowontmiss I don’t expect them to change course on one complaint or even a hundred for this issue but I want my disdain to be known. I’d rather say something to them directly than only on social media where it definitely won’t be considered.
English

@Rattiom32 Wrong how? and it wasn't even an argument, it was one exchange that began with them calling someone retarded. Great way to begin
English

@BoxArtBattle Nah they did you're just wrong and they probably cba arguing with you
English

@MrMidnight1188 Yep, so but an original and a flash cart is the way to go if "original hardware" as so many people are spouting is important.
English

@TheMangoViking @Suzushiiro @zerowontmiss That would be silly, especially given the price they paid. To sell them at $45 would be a good profit and ensure that the items sell.
English

@BoxArtBattle @Suzushiiro @zerowontmiss The “slightly less of a discount” being referred would be the sticker price for the *customer.* But I don’t even think they’d sell it for $65 while retailers sell it for $70. They’re probably also going to sell it at $70 anyway.
English

@THE_MILK_M4N @zerowontmiss It's not scalping though, and these are definitely not necessities. I don't see how it's any different to GameStop buying the games from Nintendo at whatever price they pay and then selling at MSRP. Costco is a wholesaler after all, not a retail store.
English

@BoxArtBattle @zerowontmiss If you are okay with scalpers and think that it's justifiable that is fully your right to feel that way. I feel differently toward it depending on the product. Necessities are a big NO from me and things like kids toys or collectibles feel morally scummy is all.
English

@Suzushiiro @zerowontmiss “Slightly less”
These guys are just gonna sell it for retail price, so they’re still getting a profit. Meanwhile the people who would’ve actually bought it at the discounted price, are now screwed.
Definitionalyl scalping or not, it’s a dishonest tactic anyway.
English

@THE_MILK_M4N @zerowontmiss I just don't get the hate. This man got games for $30, he will sell them for $40 or $45. Whoever buys them gets a cheap game compared to retail cost. Nobody loses here.
English

@BoxArtBattle @zerowontmiss I know the scalping in the referenced post has to do with nintendo games but my statment was more generalized. And you're right, it was an oversight on my part that the retailer has purchased the product already.
English

@youknowwhatino @zerowontmiss So you'd rather pay $70 for a digital version, than $45 for a sealed copy off eBay? Hookay
English

@zerowontmiss Scalpers think they're so cute I'll buy a full price fucking digital copy of the game before I'll fucking give one my money.
English

@zerowontmiss Is it scalping when you buy them at a deep discount to turn around and flip them for slightly less of a discount?
English

@DesertTome @zerowontmiss You think they should be more than $70?
English

@zerowontmiss Games aren’t expensive enough. They either need to increase supply or raise prices
English

@THE_MILK_M4N @zerowontmiss The company (Nintendo) has already profited when Costco bought them in the first place. What do you mean exactly?
English

@zerowontmiss I do too but on the bright side if everyone can just wait or find another retailer in stock, the scalpers are left holding the bag. The company profits and will continue to make games and you will still get to play.
English

@Finn_pupboy @Verliswolf @AlinePiroutek @JillerPro @zerowontmiss Got blocked. Guess they didn't have an argument for that one
English

@Finn_pupboy @Verliswolf @AlinePiroutek @JillerPro @zerowontmiss See, now you're ignoring the fact that they're $30. If there was a demand they wouldn't be sold for $30
English
