There's more to the $NVDA x $MRVL patnership than it looks. $MRVL is the king of connectivity/networking designs, they are the ultimate optimizers. $NVDA $2B injection plus giving them access to NVLink infras has everything to do with the actual networking bottleneck. They need the best to push copper to its limits within their architecture. And the limits come with $MRVL no one else. The next step also comes with $MRVL as their specialty led them to phonotics, and the $NVDA press release is clear, this also is part of this partnership. They are here to push copper to the limit and help Rubin to integrate SiPho and CPOs. I'll let you guess $MRVL foundries and close partners when it comes to SiPho: $GFS. The playbook is pretty clear from $NVDA here, and the outcome will soon only be history.

By 2027, all hardware installed on datacenters will be equiped with optics connectivities, which will rely on $SOI wafers and $GFS or $TSEM foundries. Stargate project led my openAI $MSFT and $ORCL is planned for 10GW online by 2030. $NBIS has ~3GW to add to its capacities over the next few years and announced expansions in Europe today. $META is planning to put online ~1GW by 2028. $GOOG has a ~6GW project by 2027. $AMZN has a multi GW campus planned for 2030. As of today, datacenters use copper for short distance and optics for longer ones - meters. But $NVDA's investments are clear on where this is going and they aren't throwing money by the window for pleasure. They are investing where they know money will flow to resolve networking bottlenecks: light. If all those datacenters include photonics within the new Rubin generation, the entire sector will see a growth it has never seen before, even during telecom deployments. Just like Nvidia, I'm betting heavily on it.
