@History__Speaks I remember in Syria we were big fans of Hezbollah especially in early 2000s. You could see Sunnis with pictures of Hasan Naserallah on their cars. Our relatives in Lebanon who were anti-Hezbollah used to call us stupid for supporting them, and we used to call them sectarian.

One thing I like about Egyptian Muslims is that - other than the most extremist idiots - they're much less brain broken on Shiites/susceptible to anti-Shiism than Sunnis in the GCC and Levant.

Seeing a renewed attempt to group Syria, alongside Iraq and Libya, as an example of previous US policy in the region. Any attempts to liken Syria to Iraq and Libya are unequivocally false. US did not bomb Syria to get rid of Assad. US bombed ISIS in Syria. In fact there was no serious attempt at regime change. Assad was “better the devil we know than the devil we don’t.” And Obama’s policy further enabled and solidified Iran’s embedding in Syria and its alliance with Assad against the Syrian people.
