There’s policy aimed at breaking the teamwork model. To me, this is dangerous. Our population, sadly, is becoming sicker at a younger age. Each illness presents w/ greater risk of poor outcomes. So we need to ramp up our team model, not strip it. To thin the model costs lives.

The moment your God son sees you on a billboard & thinks you are magic. ❤️ But this billboard message is important on many levels. One, to celebrate a survivor. And two, to highlight the importance of healthcare teamwork in medicine. We need MORE brains in the room, not less. 🧵

Repeatedly the most vulnerable are skirted in terms of policy & practice. The impact of this in medicine has contributed to generations worth of disparities. Enough! Team structure works. We ALL play an important role, & when you’re sick, every person deserves a functioning team
