Caregiving affects many aspects of life, including sleep. Good rest is vital for health. Foods that promote better sleep include lean proteins, whole grains, cherries, kiwifruit, nuts, and seeds. Small daily choices can significantly impact your nightly rest.

A consistent sleep schedule trains your internal rhythm and makes it easier to fall asleep, while turning on bright lights signal to your body that it is time to wake up – habits like these can make a big difference in your rest and energy.

Your bed should be a place of rest, not work or entertainment. Try to reserve it for sleep. This boundary helps your brain associate the bed with rest, making it easier to fall and stay asleep. Protect your sleep space, it’s one of the kindest things you can do for yourself.
