@bluechipdaily Thanks but, respectfully, isn't that the case for using volume, rather than for not using it?

Has anyone ever had a stop loss get hit, but the volume was low, so the broker didn't fill the trade? Once you answer that question, we see why volume isn't relevant to price. You can get stopped on low volume and see major breakouts on low volume. While high volume might be a good sign, there is no volume qualifier on anyone's P/L statement. If you are up 30% or down 30% in a stock, the broker doesn't care what the volume is.

@bluechipdaily I loved the written paper! Remember Bill (actually turns out it was Mike @mwebster1971) would answer Q's from readers, was thrilled when my Q was printed and answered (at top, how distinguish intermediate correction from severe bear, essentially you can't). Dumb Q in retrospect.

@investwithmattt @BustMcCoy Matt, it's critical to understand the rules, instruments, and exceptions to the rules. I don't think anyone in the first decade of trading should adjust any rules.

To be clear, a 1% gain on SPY or Nasdaq today would be a Follow Through Day in Spirit (the type I use) For an “official” FTD volume would have to be higher than Friday’s volume If you want to know WHY I don’t use volume…I have three episodes (6 hours) explaining it

If you’re going to trade options you can't chase the move. I like to play the pivot back the other direction. I don't trade leaps I trade short dated ITM or ATM. That's my sauce.
