As the waters of GERD rise, they echo the thunder of Adwa when Ethiopia, defiant and proud, inscribed her name in the chronicles of freedom. Adwa was our first defiance, the shield that protected our sovereignty from foreign conquest. GERD is Adwa the Second, the pen with which we write our economic independence, the beacon of a new renaissance where our rivers no longer flow as tales of lost potential, but as currents of self-reliance.
And so that tear is not just emotion; it is history coming full circle, blending past and present into one, Adwa reborn in the harnessing of light, water, and determination. A tear shed for a promise kept, for a quiet dream once impossible, now a reality roaring like the Abay River itself.
ያ እንባ የሐዘን ምልክት አይደለም፣ ይልቁንም የመቶ ዓመታት የአገር ጉጉት ኩልል ያለ መገለጫ ነው። በዚያ እንባ ውስጥ ድንጋይና ብረት የተሸከሙ የሰራተኞች ላብ፣ ለልጆቻቸው ብሩህ ጎህ የጸለዩ እናቶች ፀሎት፣ እና ለባላንጣዎቻችን ማጎብደድን እንቢ ያለው የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ የማይሰበር መንፈስ ይኖራል።
የታላቁ ሕዳሴ ግድብ ውሃ ከፍ ሲል፣ ኢትዮጵያ በአልበገር ባይነትና በኩራት ስሟን በነጻነት ታሪክ ውስጥ ያፃፈችበትን የአድዋ ድል ድምፅ ከፍ አድርጎ እደገደል ማሚቶ ይደግማል። አድዋ የመጀመሪያው አልበገር ባይነታችን ነበር፣ የእኛን ሉዓላዊነት ከውጭ ወረራ የጠበቀ ጋሻ። ታላቁ ሕዳሴ ግድብ ደግሞ ሁለተኛው አድዋ ነው፣ የኢኮኖሚ ነጻነታችንን የምንጽፍበት ብእር፣ ወንዞቻችን ከእንግዲህ የጠፋ እድል ተረቶች ሳይሆኑ፣ የራስ ቻይነት ጅረቶች ሆነው የሚፈሱበት አዲስ የትንሣኤ መብራት!
ስለዚህ ያ እንባ ስሜት ብቻ አይደለም፤ የድል ታሪክ ሙሉ ሆኖ፣ ያለፈውንና አሁኑን ወደ አንድ የሚያዋህድ ምልክት ነው። በውሃ፣ በብርሃን እና በቁርጠኝነት ውህደት የአድዋ እንደገና መወለድ ነው። ለቃል ኪዳን ሲባል የፈሰሰ እንባ፣ አንድ ጊዜ የማይቻል የነበረ ፀጥ ያለ ህልም፣ አሁን ግን ልክ እንደ አባይ ወንዝ ድምፅ የሚጮህ እውነታ።
