Lots of fog out there tonight, locally dense now in some spots like Glens Falls where the visibility has been dropping. It's colder across the north as well, so be cautious into the morning as temperatures drop a few more degrees, wet surfaces will get icy.

At this hour, every station in Arizona and Nevada is recording a new *ALL-TIME* monthly record highs. Numerous other states have a majority of stations also recording new all-time high temperatures. Historic is, in my opinion, an understatement.

Looks like some fog settling in over Glens Falls and likely in other areas as well. Murky

Be ready for some rain Friday afternoon and evening...this could initially begin early in the afternoon as snow across the Adirondacks, but will flip to rain there pretty quickly. Wet for the rest of us.

That wind was something very early this morning, still blustery now, but better. This is a plot of all peak wind gusts since midnight of at least 40 mph on the NYS mesonet across central and eastern New York.

Never fun to have to show wind chill observations in mid March, but here we are. The wind will slowly subside overnight with much lighter wind on Wednesday...so it does get better

Short lines and clusters of heavy rain continue to evolve in areas west of the Hudson valley. Localized strong gusts up to 50 mph are possible with some of these heavier rain elements this evening.

It's breezy and mild with bands of showers moving through. Expect rain to expand in coverage through the evening with some passing downpours likely in spots. Winds could be particularly gusty in any passing downpour.

Planning on being part of the St. Patrick's Day parade in Albany on Saturday? The weather look dry with partial sun, but it will be windy and chilly. A layer or two will help with the wind...gusts at least to 40 mph appear likely, possibly higher.

March temperatures through the 11th at Albany running well above average, with the last two days of record warmth doing a lot to fault the average. We'll start to equal it out a bit in the coming days with more chill than mild in the forecast.
