This is surely some form of bait or engagementfarming, but even still. Everything is worth a paragraph if you have the will. Gibberish, spirit, a raft of text, rambling nonsense etc etc below: Great works of text build something beyond the sum of their parts, words transformed beyond text via using text. Words when put together in long form can be their own spells. Their own alchemy. Their own symbological play that creates greater imagery than raw mammalian sight. The constraints of text can make the mind bloom. The constraints of inout compared to visual processiing is not a flaw, a bottleneck of a brains potential to be cast aside for some cybernetic image brain dancing future, no, text is a fuel and a catalyst for imagination. And imagination is the most human capability a human has. Training of reading great texts breeds adaptability. Adaptability that is in our blood. Language and symbols, pictographs all the way to mathematics, hundreds of thousands of years of survival through ice ages and jungles, and sailed through all that blood were stories. Myth making, communication of a form that is now text. Its sparseness in the face of visual input is its brilliance. Its about the choices and order of the symbols. The art of it. Text strengthens the muscles of the unknown and mysterious soul that operates in the gaps between letters. That operates in the choices of what words are used, what words are not, what words are invented, what words are abandoned and the trends of how others are used. Text, memes, iterations of stories, the growth and decay of different languages, thoughts, are hidden biomes like abyssal oceans or steaming jungles, through which invisible entities stalk and graze and hunt. Text can have have lives of their own, and host lifeforms within them. Information Animals. Symbological predators, gods? I do not believe in doom prophecy, or any sort of luddite aversion for advancing into new mediums, into new ages. And there will be new symbols for the new ages we now enter. Yet what have seen with images, videos, being cut down shorter and shorter, visual buzzes and flashes to the human processors, is a negative for many masses with no cognitive security. Atrophying attention spans. Devouring away tastes, styles, cultures, swamping worlds with slop and plastic like cannibal Babel Machines multiplying beyond all the artefacts of human made text combined. Yet these things I do not think are apocalypses, just the storms and tides of change. And what will come out of it is obscured by fog of time not yet passed. Text can communicate more than an image. Should you have the will. Are we not myth-makers, and, storytellers? Imagination translated beyond what instant visual input can provide. For in trying to textually describe something. You can uncover promethean sparks, new information both about the subject, the image, and yourself. Beyond what the image, or even what reality as we can see it may communicate initially too us. Could go on forever about hyperrealites.... Words are wind. Text is a poor measure sure. If you wish to be stat-technical. Yet much science is wind too. Text is a failure yet simultaneously wonderful. Builders of imagination. It is adaptability. Text births symbols, and symbols are spells of great magic. I do believe intuition is of collosal importance. I do believe text cannot capture or communicate the total inner world, or gove as much as the image. The original sensation, and yet. There is a contradiction that forms the very foundation of our soul. That a child in a white box with no outside visual experience, may be risen to great heights of beauty by a piece of text. We can escape any prison via text. We can drill into infinity with text. Words are wind, but in the dark abyss I still like the feeling of a breeze across my neck. Onwards. New symbols for a new age.
