I believe we have a better year this year and build to another step in year 3. And year 4 could be special if not in year 3.

@CharlesK76493 Each conf has a preferred profile and cultural identify. Value fit is optimized by the complimentary goods concept. WVU's value is greatest to the ACC and SEC. The Mountaineers would be inserted goods in the B1G just as they are in the Big 12.

I do think that wv has an advantage of being the bellwether institution of an entire state. Ohio st and Rutgers (Princeton is too small to count) have the Same advantages. But wv is not going to the b10 because of academics. Maybe sec if they go to 24. Best hope is a 50 team super league as one of the + 16 34+. Notre Dame according to the chart below has the TV influence. Neither are in a high growth area, that would be Texas. My Choice is Notre Dame.

Data has no favorites. My influencer list was compiled using TV ratings from 2012-2025 for current P4 programs & identifying the P4 opponents in games were viewership was above the mean. The influencer list is the P4 programs who consistently produced a significant ratings bump.

@Kayfabe32363018 There's a race to a 2030-31 finish line and 6 or 7 wins does nothing. Rich must contend for a Big 12 title and playoff spot to keep the money flowing and restore WVU's relevancy.
