@WelshGovernment has published data on affordable homes delivery. In 2023/24 there were 3,158 affordable homes delivered for rent in the social sector. To date 8,074 affordable homes for rent have been delivered. Under half the 2026 target of 20,000. bit.ly/4gp84os

This weeks round-up includes our submission to @SeneddFinance consultation on the 2025/16 draft budget.

Our 2024 sector snapshot showed that increased funding was needed to tackle homelessness. As such we are asking @WelshGovernment to consider the level of funding provided to statutory homelessness services in the draft 2025/26 budget.

Ahead of @WelshGovernment draft budget for 2025/26 we are asking for additional monies to be allocated to WHQS 2023. These additional monies will help ease the pressure on housing provides as they seek to develop new homes and ensure that existing homes meet WHQS 2023.

@WelshGovernment will be publishing their 2025/26 draft budget on 10th December. Increasing the allocation of monies to SHG is essential. The consequential from the increased affordable housing spend in England should be ring fenced to enable an uplift in SHG in 2025/26.
