I've seen some posts about players complaining about "new" players taking up NAIC registration spots away from the "competitive" players, and I want to let y'all know that Pokémon is for EVERYONE! While I do think a Play Point requirement could be interesting in the future, I also dislike the idea of turning away new faces that could become regulars just because they haven't played as much as other players. We already have a priority registration option for the BEST players in the game which seems fair - anyone is also allowed to compete to get priority registration (T32 at least in NA). Nobody deserves to play more at NAIC than another player! Regardless if you agree or not, there will be players who struggle because they won't get into NAIC - Championship Points being high or non existent. As much as it stings to "miss your invite" because you "whiffed NAIC registration", I'd argue that it is merely part of the global chase for Worlds. Some sticks will be thrown in your wheels, shit will happen, etc. Pivot to your next best plan or anticipate the worse. Nobody wants to have to use NAIC to lock up an invite, and it will unfortunately be a battle for some of y'all. There was registration for Melbourne, Prague, Campinas, and more this week... It's a global game now, many players from all over the world are learning this and exploring new opportunities to reach their goals. The only thing I want to see is players who collect their swag kit and drop immediately deal with some sort of repercussions for those actions. It's clear in the Pokémon rulebook that playing in an event for participation prizing / swag is against the rules, and I would like to see everyone who gets into the tournament compete to their hearts content. At least play 3 rounds or something like that. Even though I'll be in New Orleans for NAIC, I'm NOT competing (afaik), and I won't be signing up just for the swag kit. If you just wanna sell your Blastoise kit, think about the 100s or 1000s of players that would've loved JUST the opportunity to play. As events grow larger and larger, I'm sure we will continue to experience growing pains, but let's remember not to turn on each other. We are all here because of our love for Pokémon, and events mean SO MUCH MORE than just competing for Championship Points. I'm done yapping, but I just felt like I needed to say something. I wouldn't have always agreed with what I wrote above, but I guess that's what happens when I'm still playing this game in my 30s. Perspective, learning, and maturing changes a lot - I hope everyone who wants to play gets in. If you don't, the event is still a BLAST even if you are spectating. Ok, that's it for now, back to building all of the new Post Rotation decks IRL...

At this point, it's abundantly clear that voters want Dems to distance themselves from Israel, and that doing so would actually help them with elections. That they still won't is a testament to the Israel lobby's influence, which deserves much more attention.
